Because of the Treasury Secretary, US oil prices are rising

US crude prices closed higher, on Tuesday, after US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said he supported the extension of some measures aimed at boosting the economy, while Brent crude ended the session lower on concerns that productive cuts may not be enough.
Oil climbed to a few sessions after major cuts in crude production from major producers to curb supplies, and as demand recovered after governments around the world eased restrictions to halt the spread of the Corona virus pandemic.
US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude contracts for June delivery, which is due to trade today, closed 68 cents, or 1.7 percent, to settle at $ 32.50 a barrel.
